GB Roof Garden Restaurant & Bar is one of the most popular rooftops in Athen. Perched on the 8th floor of the luxurious and fantastic Hotel Grande Bretagne, the roof terrace is very elegant and modernly furnished.

Located right by Syntagma Square in the heart of Athens, the views over Acropolis, Lycabettus hill, Syntagma Square and the city center are fantastic.

The GB Roof Garden is both a fine dining restaurant and a rooftop bar, partly covered and partly open-air, meaning it can stay open year roound. The restaurant is one of the top ones in all of Athens, awarded several times and serving New Mediterranean cuisine.

Visit for a sunny and tranquil lunch or for a cosmopolitan and classy dinner. Or just head over to the GB rooftop bar, serving 50+ cocktails made to perfection.

During the warmer months (May-November), the terrace also offer a completely open-air bar called Bar 8. A very stylish and cool looking cocktail bar where you, among other things, can choose from 8 different Martinis or a 'Zombie' that combines three different kinds of rum.

For dinner at the rooftop restaurant you have to make reservations, and make sure to do so well in advance, as it is a highly popular place. The GB Roof Garden Bar and the Bar 8 however have a no-reservaton policy, so here you can just drop in and enjoy fantastic cocktails with a view.

Tip: Guest staying at the fantastic Hotel Grande Bretagne can also enjoy dips in the rooftop pool, and sips from the GB Pool Bar. Summer season also means evenings of rooftop cinema by the pool.
