Tucked into Auckland’s historic Victoria Quadrant, Sweat Shop Brew Kitchen is a crafted and buzzing gastropub, housed in a former denim factory.

With an industrial and chic warehouse vibe inside, the venue also offers a partly covered, partly open-air rooftop terrace. Decked with picnic tables and cosy string lights, the rooftop is by no means the highest in the city, but it is one of the largest. And the views over the Sky Tower are rally cool.

Focusing on street eats and local brew, some of the beers are so local that they are brewed on site. And some of the best American style eats on the menu come from the in-house grill and smokehouse. Other options include a large selection of wines and crafted classic cocktails.

Sweat Shop Brew Kitchen is a great spot for everything from long lunches and after work drinks, to late night dancing, often with live music and DJs kicking the weekend vibe up to the sky.
