Overview
Vibrant venue offering views and sunshine drinks on the river, as well as happening nights.
A38 is definitely not your ordinary rooftop. Located on top of an old Soviet rock carrier ship, right at the Petőfi Bridge on the Buda side, this is not only a rooftop bar but also a restaurant, concert venue and exhibition space.
And while the restaurant and concert venue are open year round, we would argue that the best time to visit A38 is during the warmer months when the uppder deck terrace is open.
The terrace is not that high in altitude, but still offers superb panoramic views of the Southern Pest and buildings like Millennial Culture Center, University of Engineering and the Liberty Bridge.
The A38 rooftop bar offers a nice selection of assorted beverages and the restaurant very good local and European food, all at very decent prices. But the best unique selling point for A38 rooftop is propably the great atmosphere, and the chance to see live DJs and many well-known bands and artists perform.
Open from daily from noon, so on a sunny day you can visit for lunch or just relaxing drinks on the deck, enjoying being on the water. Later at night the vibe is much higher, with A38 being one of Budapest coolest clubs where you can shake it to reggae, hip-hop, electronic and house all night long.
