Located on top of the Royale Eatery, right in the heart of Cape Town, The Waiting Room is a chilled and hip rooftop bar offering great views across Cape Town and the busy street below. The name of the bar actually comes from it previously being a real waiting room for the restaurant below.

Not at all fancy, but retro, urban and chic, the Waiting Room comes not only with rooftop patio, but also an indoor lounge and dancefloor, plus an adjecent balcony.

While the indoor part is a lot about live music, DJs and weekend party-vibes, the rooftop terrace is a bit more chill and with hanging lanterns a quite cosy place for pre- or post dinner cocktails.

Friendly and relaxed in ambience, the rooftop bar serves nice cocktails and a good selection of local and imported beers, both on tap and in bottle. You need to climb some stairs to get here, but for chill out times and the chance to hear some live music, this is a top roof bar in Cape Town.
