Found in the heart of Old Town Cartagena, the art-deco themed and buzzing Alquímico Bar offers several floors of crafted and alchemical experiences.

Divided into a main and first floor La Mansión, a second floor classic cocktail bar (called El Balcón), all stairs lead up to the third and top floor Terraza, which is a tropical tiki-bar. Colorful and vibrant, the views might not be the most impressive in Cartagena, but the Alquímico rooftop sure has a lot other to offer.

Claiming the 9th spot in The World's 50 Best Bars ranking for 2023, you would expect drinks out of the ordinary, and you would be right. Alquímico takes an almost scientific approach to the art of mixology, and the rooftop bar offers creative signature cocktails inspired by ten of the most respresentative animals of Colombia.

Apart from top class drinks, here you can also enjoy dishes inspired by Colombian recipes, ingredients and techniques. From skewers and ceviche to seafood and burgers.

You might come for the cocktails, but you might very well stay for the vibrant atmosphere usually surrounding the Alquímico rooftop, with live DJs creating almost a club-feel as the night wears on.
