On top of the Illum shopping mall, located right on the famous Strøget, you find the Illum Rooftop. This is a truly diverse 4th floor rooftop with a mix of restaurants, bars, cafés and food markets, and both indoor and outdoor seatings. A real gem for the culinary visitor.

The views you get from up here is one of the best in the city, differing a bit depending on which place up top you choose to visit, since the long terrace that winds around half of the big building is divided between the different establishments. So what’s to choose from?

There is Skagen Fiskerestaurant, offering fantastic fresh fish & seafood, Rossopomodoro, which is a Neapolitan Kitchen & Pizzeria that serves authentic and passionate Italian food, and Palæo, a modern interpretation of the paleo lifestyle where you can taste food from the Stone Age.

However, the best views you probably get from The Original Coffe, which has the corner part of the terrace and offers vistas off the square below and all over Copenhagen.

Add a lovely food market, and it's easy to tell that Illum Rooftop offers something for everyone. Perfect for a shopping break with a beer, cocktail or coffee in the sun, a romantic dinner as the sun sets over Copenhagen, or to just stroll around botanizing among all the goodies available.
