Overview
Texas sized urban rooftop park and farm with views amazing views over downtown Houston.
The former Barbara Jordan Post Office bulding at the northern edge of downtown Houston has been turned into a vibrant and beautiful 550 000-square-foot cultural hub, mixing concert venue and co-working spaces with restaurants, bars and an international market hall.
Called POST Houston, the venue is highly impressive throughout, but the most striking feature is the Skylawn rooftop. This urban park integrates the downtown experience with Buffalo Bayou park, and to call it spacious would be an understatement.
Designed by Hoerr Schaudt, the five-acre rooftop includes seven distinct gardens, each with its own plant palette, a skyline promenade, event space, a stage, a game space, café and much more. All framed by amazing 360° views over Houston.
Grab a seat on the lawn and enjoy the sun, greenery and front row seats to the city, watch both amateur and professional performers at the Stage, or come at night when the rooftop is illuminated with giant glowing skylights. Come whenever, just make sure that you experience the one-of-a-kind Skylawn at POST Houston.
