Overview
Leb-i Derya is a genuine Istanbul restaurant and rooftop bar, once named as one of the world's 15 best bars. It has recently been refurbished, so now even greater then before (even though the competition might be tougher as well).
Leb-i Derya holds two floors in an old building tucked away down a side street in Beyoglu, and have several different and cosy venues. The ones with the very best views of Bosphoren is the 7th floor dining hall and bar, along with the top floor 'Captain's Quarter'. With seats for about 20 people, this open air terrace is a real gem, only open in summer.
The 7th floor dining room and bar is more like garden houses, with floor-to-ceiling windows and retractable roof. Open and airy in summer, closed and cosy in winter.
Here you can enjoy food prepared with local ingredients and taking inspiration from the history of Istanbul. The rooftop bar offers a long wine and raki list, along with well crafted cocktails.
With a friendly service and good vibes, Leb-i Derya rooftop offers a fantastic overall experience. Book a table in advance to be guaranteed a spot. And the entrance might be a bit hard to find, but follow the map directions found under the 'Map' button to the right and you will find it.
