Overview
Retro-chic rooftop pool lounge for lazy afternoons and sunset vibes.
The Swimming Club is a lovely rooftop and pool bar, located at the 11th floor of the boutique hotel The KL Journal. While the rooftop pool has been around for a while, there was a complepte 2018 re-styling of the terrace, when The Swimming Club opened up.
With a decor of 80's Palm Springs meet Wes Anderson, the design of the colorful terrace is almost as exciting as the fabouls KL view.
Located in the Bukit Bintang area, the rooftop bar offers fresh and well made signature cocktails, like a 'Rooftop Cucumber Lemonade', along with bar bites like the Journal Burger and Poolside Katsu Bun.
Open daily from around noon, the rooftop is perfect for relaxing afternoon drinks poolside, maybe watching the sun go down and continue the night under the terrace neon signs.
The rooftop bar also has a happy hour between 4-7pm, along with weekly theme nights (think pool party), so it is worth checking their Facebook or Instagram to keep up to date with fun events.
Tip: If you book your stay at the fabolous Kuala Lumpur Journal Hotel the terrace opens already at 7am and you can enjoy the fantastic salt water infinity pool all day long.
