Located in the heart of Madrid, in a converted 1930s gas station, the funky Generator Madrid hostel comes with a vibrant modern design all around, extra noticeable at the top floor rooftop.

Previously called La Terraza Generator, but now re-branded to Broken Shaker, the multi-level and open-air rooftop comes with a beachy, bright and urban setting, where astro-turf bistro tables are complemented with rooftop jacuzzi's and a food-truck.

Up here you can experience an elevated cocktail adventure, curated by renowned mixologists Gabriel Orta and Elad Zvi of Bar Lab. The handcrafted and unforgettable libations are complemented with tantalizing bites, like 'Korean Chicken Sandwich' and 'Fish Tacos'.

Broken Shaker is a great spot to just kick back and enjoy the panoramic views over Madrid, preferably around sunset. But it is also a popular venue for fun summer evenings, with a younger crowd enjoying nightly DJ sets and buzzing vibes.
