At the 9th floor of the lovely Trademark Hotel in Gigiri you find Hero, a rooftop bar and restaurant offering an experience really out of the ordinary.

The concept of the venue is to celebrate heroes from comics and from the community, trying to answer the questions: What do superheroes eat and drink? And where do they hang out? The answers turned into one of the very best rooftops in Nairobi and Africa. Hero was also ranked at #68 in the 2022 ranking of The World's 50 Best Bars.

Built as a speakeasy with a discrete entrance and prohibition-style bar, Hero is a unique and cool venue, with plenty of beautiful and colorful murals on the walls, along with fun superhero details and amazing views over the Nairobi skyline.

Up here you can enjoy creative cuisine that is similar to what you would expect at a Japanese restaurant, but Hero is decidedly not a Japanese restaurant. The menu features sushi, but filled with more flavor, color and fun, along with small plates and desserts filled with influences from the idea of the superhero and their superpowers.

Complementing the food is a selection of inventive and fantastic cocktails, so good that Hero was ranked at #68 in the 2022 ranking of The World's 50 Best Bars.

Usually open for lunch, dinner and drinks in between, Hero invites you to be a member of a secret space where fantasy and reality come together. It is an experience you don't want to miss.
