Overview
Relaxing rooftop on top of one of the largest breweries in Brooklyn.
Originally established in 2014, Greenpoint Beer & Ale Co. re-opened at their new location on 1150 Manhattan Ave during early 2020. The best thing: the new and expanded brewery comes with a lovely rooftop deck.
Sharing name with its location, the rooftop is found in Greenpoint, the northernmost neighborhood in Brooklyn. While it's by no means the only brewery in Brooklyn, Greenpoint Beer & Ale Co. is one of the largest, and one of the best.
With the lower floor holding a spacious Beer Market and indoor dining room, the upper floor rooftop terrace is a colorful and industrial-chic creation, surrounded with lovely views over the neighborhood. The rooftop is also easy to spot, thanks to a really cool green stained glass water tower, made by Tom Fruin.
The Greenpoint Beer & Ale Co. menu is (not surprising) filled with craft beer. From flavorful small batch of ales, lagers and brett beers made at the in-house brewery, to selections from other local breweries, vineyards and cideries.
Apart from a wide selection of drinks, you can also enjoy a tasty selection of comfort food, like Belgian Fries, a Giant Bavarian Pretzel with housemade beer cheese, or a Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich.
With a relaxing and laid back atmosphere, the Greenpoint Beer & Ale Co. rooftop is a great spot to enjoy some sunny or sunset beers and bites with a group of friends. There is also a giant projector screen showing everything from Football to the Oscars.
