Overview
World-class cocktails in chic and luxurious setting.
Upon entering this chic rooftop terrace, called Salon de Ning, you get the feeling of being in Shanghai in the early 1900s. The décor is classic Asian style with plenty of pillows in the lounge and stylish furniture at the tables.
Salon de Ning rooftop bar is located at the 23rd floor if the famous and luxurious hotel Peninsula New York, right in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. From the terrace, or actually two terraces, you get a magical view over 5th Avenue and the surrounding skyscrapers.
The rooftop bar offers an extensive cocktail list, with well made signature cocktails, and even their own classics. Like the 'Ning Sling', made with Hendrick’s Gin, lychee & passion fruit purée. There is also wine and bubbles by the glass and some shared plates for the hungry ones. High in quality, and also quite high in price.
The atmosphere here is always relaxed and sophisticated, and it is a popular place so if you don't arrive early, be prepared for a bit of waiting at the inside bar before getting a seat out on the terrace.
During the colder season, the West Terrace of Salon de Ning Rooftop Bar is transformed into Chalet de Ning. A glamorous, warm and cosy winter wonderland that features two chalet-inspired domes, where you can enjoy specialty cocktails and seasonal dishes inspired by the Engadine region of Switzerland.
The dress code at Salong De Ning is smart casual, and as it is a luxurious and upscale venue, you should really dress for success to feel right at home.
