After Altabira Tavern rooftop closed during the pandemic, the top floor of the fantastic Hotel Eastlund was empty for more than a year. But not anymore, thanks to the vibrant Metropolitan Tavern.
Newly renovated, the stylish rooftop mixes an interior lounge with a spacious and glass-enclosed rooftop terrace, surrounded with panoramic views over downtown Portland and the Willamette.
Open daily for lunch, dinner, drinks and weekend brunch, Metropolitan Tavern offers a generous selection of menus, including shareable plates, wood fired artisan pizzas, pasta and sandwiches, as well as local craft beers, European and Northwest wines and handcrafted classic and specialty cocktails.
Modern yet casual, Metropolitan Tavern is pretty much always a great spot to gather with friends for some food, drinks and views. Especially so during the daily 3-6pm & 9pm-close happy hour.
