Overview
Craft beer garden with relaxing atmosphere and skyline views.
At street level Hotel Sweeney's looks like (and very much is) a classic Aussie sports pub. But on top of the building you find a very nice surprise and somewhat of a hidden gem: Sweeney's Rooftop Bar (or Dot's Rooftop as it is also called). With location right in the heart of Sydney (opposite Town Hall Station), the rooftop terrace offers magical views over the central parts of town.
Quite classic in decor with bar stools, tables and some heaters, Hotel Sweeney's is a rooftop craft beer bar, with a rotating lineup on eight different taps along with different tap takeovers every now and then. So really a Sydney rooftop bar for anyone who wants to try out different and exciting brews. And for the non-beer drinkers, there are cocktails and wine as well.
With sports bar on the ground floor and pool table and Thai restaurant one level up, Hotel Sweeney's is really a happening place even before reaching rooftop level. And then the rooftop in itself is quite eventful, with both a rooftop ping-pong table and live DJs picking up the atmosphere on weekends.
With very friendly prices and a great and relaxing atmosphere, Hotel Sweeney's rooftop is always a good stop for some al-fresco crafted brews and a good time with friends.
