R Restaurant & Bar is located on the 13th floor of the modern and fantastic The Gate Hotel Asakusa Kaminarimon, close to the Kaminari-mon Gate. From this rooftop you get the probably best views in eastern Tokyo, with uninterrupted views of the Tokyo Skytree as a main highlight.

The rooftop restaurant & bar comes with a stylish indoor lounge and dining room, complemented with a quite small terrace that seats about 20 people.

Open from early morning to late at night you can enjoy great western cuisine along with a good set of wines and fresh cocktails. Relaxing and cosy rooftop, highlighted by the piano beeing played live every night.

For even better views there is actually also a 14th floor rooftop at the hotel, called B Bar. Larger than the one below, and with a really cool bar, the only issue is that it is only available to guests at The Gate Hotel. So book your stay to enjoy the very best vistas in eastern Tokyo.
