Note: The Champagneria at Courtenay Place is closed, and has instead opened as Otto Champagneria & Beer Hall on 125 Featherston St.

Wellington's only bar dedicated to champagnes and sparkling wines, blessed with a charming rooftop.

Located in the vibrant Courtenay Place, in the inner-city district of Te Aro, The Champagneria has taken over the venue where you used to find the Mockingbird.

Opened in September 2022, this modern spot comes with a comfy-elegant interior lounge and spacious street side patio, but the prime spot is the charming and lush rooftop. By no means sky high, the second floor terrace still offers cool views over the happening Courtenay Place, and with a mix of covered and open-air seating it is available year-round.

As Wellington's only bar dedicated to champagnes and sparkling wines from around the world, The Champagneria offers an extensive range of champagnes from France, cava from Spain, prosecco from Italy, as well as 'new world' bubbles.

Complemented with craft beers and cocktails, the menu also includes a fully plant based selection of tapas and platters.

Surrounded with an unpretentious and fun atmosphere, you can visit The Champagneria for bottomless & champagne brunches, to explore champagne and wine flights with friends, or just to enjoy a cocktail in the sun up on the rooftop.
