Many of the rooftops serve fantastic food like upscale Italian, local San Diego flavours and Mexican classics. There's such a big diffrence between all rooftops on this list, that you need to visit at least 3-4 of them. Almost all of them with beautiful ocean and sunset views!

What we think: We came here to try the sushi during sunset, that we heard was the best things to do at Cannonball. And we can agree! Whether you choose to get cozy in the intimate cocktail lounge or out on the rooftop terrace, you’ll be treated with tasty food and drinks. Also, extra plus for the vibrant atmosphere. A little minus for being very crowded, this is a popular spot.

What we think: When deciding to visit Pueblo, our only focus was the food and Margaritas. These are the reasons why people come here. And of course the vibrant atmosphere! If you’re looking for sweeping views, this is not the place you’re searching for.

What we think: We came here for the Brunch, and it was amazing. The price is more expensive than the regular San Diego rooftop bar, but still well worth it. This contemporary rooftop bar and lounge is the ultimate place to socialize, and it has most things you need regarding food to satisfy whatever you may be craving.

- For starter, order the Arancini and go for the Rabbit Ravioli as a main.

What we think: We visited Catania both for lunch (only weekends) and dinner. The food up here is amazing! We actually came here only for the food, the sunset and ocean view is a big bonus. La Jolla is a fancy neighborhood, and so are the clientel at Catania. So, dress to impress.

What we think: This is one of our favorite rooftop bars in Pacific Beach. Much thanks to the lovely vibe, tasty beers and beautiful beach views. This rooftop has a vibrant sports bar atmosphere, and they brand themselves as the ultimate destination for beer enthusiasts and beach lovers alike.

- We’d recommend coming here more than once. Do the Surf & Turf Thursday and Aloha Friday for most unique experience.

What we think: We visited for the Taco Tuesday which was amazing! For $14 we got two delicious tacos and then we added $10 for bottomless Margaritas. One of our favorite rooftop experiences in along time. This place is like no other, which it’s why we can recommend it to everyone.
