Overview
Ambiance: When the superb The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon moved into the iconic King Power Mahanakhon, it did so bringing along a truly sky-high and impressive rooftop venue: the Sky Beach Bangkok. Located on the 78th floor, this outdoor and airy playground is the highest rooftop bar in Bangkok, and it should come as no surprise that the 360° views over the city are simply breathtaking. And while the vistas are the prime feature, the retro-chic, tropical and 'lots-of-yellow' decor is not far behind, including a phone booth and a very cool bar.
Food & Drinks: High, high, high above the buzzing city below, here you can indulge in American-style bites and a creative cocktail selection from Milk Thanaworachayakit, one of Bangkok’s most celebrated mixologists. Grab a seat in one of the loungers or on the majestic staircase, and tune out to live DJs and the views.
What we think: Sky Beach Bangkok is open for vibes and views every day and every night, working on a first come, first served basis. Before 7pm, guests will need to purchase a ticket at the King Power Mahanakhon ticketing center (THB 880 per person). After 7PM, a THB 500 cover charge applies, which you can use as credit to enjoy any item on the menu.
Dress code: The Sky Beach Bangkok dress code is smart casual. Smart casual is an approach to dressing professionally that mixes trendier pieces in with classic staples. The goal is an appearance that’s clean and professional but doesn’t look too formal.

Probably the best selection of wines any rooftop bar in Bangkok can offer.

Classic and upscale rooftop cocktail bar, overlooking the Bangkok skyline and Chao Phraya River.
Photo: The Rooftop Guide
Expert Tips
- Arrive at opening around 5.00 PM.
- Best river view in Bangkok.
- Very expensive, drinks start from THB 1500 ($44).
Gallery
Overview
Ambience: Distil Rooftop Bar Bangkok is a classic cocktail bar, located on the 64th floor of the 5-star Lebua at State Tower. A bit less known than the very famous Sky Bar Bangkok one floor below, but Distil was actually the first rooftop bar at Lebua, and is truly a 'senior' in the Bangkok rooftop scene. The rooftop is quite small, but the seating available is really cool. Part intimate indoor lounge with a round bar, and part outdoor terrace, with edge sofas all around, getting you really close up with the impressive skyline.
Food & Drinks: From the elegant rooftop bar, you can order cocktails of the highest class, from classics to more creative creations. But, they do not come cheap, so be prepared to spend or just settle for one cocktail with an amazing view before moving on. There is also an exclusive selection of cigars and spirits, as well as a food menu with more bite-like dishes, such as sliders, oysters, sushi and caviar.
What we think: With Distil Rooftop Bar being a bit less known than the neighbor below, there might be a better chance to get a good spot up here. Try to arrive at opening around 5pm. This way you will both catch the best seat and see the amazing sunset from the west-facing terrace.
Dress code: The Distil Rooftop Bar dress code is smart casual. Athletic or sports uniforms, slippers, beach sandals and flip-flops are not permitted.
