Overview

Ambiance: This jungle-themed rooftop, which opened in late 2020, has already made a big splash with both locals and visitors. The standout feature is definitely the LED-lit "tree" that sways behind the bar. If you’ve seen any photos of Tichuca on social media, you’ve probably spotted it. It’s impossible to miss, and definitely a must-have photo op! But Tichuca isn’t just about that eye-catching tree—it’s got a whole vibe going on. Located atop the T-One office building, the rooftop stretches across three floors, filled with lush greenery and wooden furniture, all set against stunning views of the city.

Drinks & Food: The jungle theme carries over to the drink menu, with refreshing tiki-style cocktails served in pineapples or coconuts. They also offer small bites, but the real draw is the drinks and the fun atmosphere. This is not the place you come to for dinner. Tichuca is all about party, views and drinks.

What we think: After visiting Tichuca Rooftop Bar, it quickly became one of our favorite rooftop spots in Bangkok. It’s no surprise that Tichuca is especially popular with the younger crowd. Since it operates on a walk-in only basis, We’d recommend arriving early if you don’t want to wait. Even so, expect a bit of a line to get up to the top, but trust us, it’s well worth it once you’re there!

Dress code: Casual dress code. Which means that as long as you have a clean shirt, pants and shoes on, you will be fine. And the causal dress code often says more about the vibe than the clothes per say. A sense of 'all are welcome'.

Expert Tips

  • Dress for success! Le Du Kaan is an upscale rooftop sky bar.
  • Children of all ages are welcome, in company with adults. So, perfect rooftop for a family visit.
  • Reservations are highly recommended. Le Du Kaan is super popular, so book your table in advance.

Gallery

Overview

Ambiance: Located on the 56th floor, the bar spans an impressive 835 square meters, blending modern design with stylish ambiance. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a breathtaking sunset while feeling the warm evening breeze. The panoramic views of the Bangkok skyline are absolutely stunning, with the Chao Phraya River adding a picturesque touch to the vistas.

Drinks and Food: As with the interior and feeling, Le Du Kaan aims to deliver the same feeling when it comes to food and drinks. The food is well-made and inspired by the classic Thai kitchen. We'd recommend to order some plates to share for best experience. When it comes to drinks, we'd go for the classic cocktails. The prices is very high up here, so you wouldn't want to waste your money by taking any risks with drinks you don't know you like.

What we think: If you like upscale and spectacular rooftop bars with amazing 360 degree views, Le Du Kaan won't dissapoint. But as with most of these luxurious and famous Bangkok rooftops, the service is sometimes not what you would expect. When we made reservations for à la carte dining, we were informed that for parties of 8 or more, a non-refundable deposit of THB 10,000 is required to secure the booking for the main and terrace dining areas. We also learned that the area is only accessible by stairs, so it’s not suitable for wheelchair access.

Dress code: A heads-up for those planning to visit: gentlemen are asked to wear long trousers, smart jeans or tailored shorts, and shirts with sleeves. Flip-flops, open shoes, swimwear, and sportswear aren’t permitted.

Fancy rooftop with amazing view

Expert Tips

  • Reservations is a must! Nobu Bangkok is a very popular rooftop - both for dinner and drinks.
  • Ask for seats on the outdoor terrace to get the full experience.
  • Great restaurant if you love a Nikkie style menu, Japanese cuisine with Peruvian influences.

Gallery

Overview

Ambiance: The outdoor terrace, spread over two floors, was incredible, with every seat facing the view. There are 126 seats in total, and the central bar, with its sculptural design and integrated lantern fixtures in the banquettes, added a touch of elegance to the whole experience. The 60th floor, being the highest Nobu rooftop bar, gave us the perfect open-sky space, framed by infinity pools. It felt like we were floating above the city, with the monumental curved arch at the bar and the gold mosaic framing the view making it all even more breathtaking.

Drinks and Food: Chef Nobu's world-renowned style of contemporary Japanese cuisine with Peruvian influences applies also here. And accompanied by spectacular 360-degree views of the Bangkok skyline, Nobu Bangkok is the perfect spot for a grand rooftop dinner. We'd recommen to order as many small plates as you can, and share among all. That's the best way to do it up here. For drinks, we'd recommend to go for some signature cocktails or chosse from the wide selection of Champagnes.

What we think: As with most rooftop bar visits, we had a magical time at the Nobu Rooftop Bar — much thanks to the grand view. The 360-degree views of Bangkok were absolutely stunning as we enjoyed light bites and signature cocktails while watching the sun set behind the city skyline. It gives you the feel that you're on top of the world. But just as with Le Du Kaan, Nobu Bangkok can sometimes fail when it comes to service. With this high price tag, you expect to get the same level of service as you get from the view and food/drinks.

Dress code: The dress code is smart casual, so no flip-flops, swimwear, or sportswear allowed. Gentlemen are asked to wear long trousers, smart jeans or tailored shorts, shirts with sleeves, and closed-toed shoes. We felt right at home in our smart outfits, soaking in the view and the atmosphere.

Expert Tips

  • Branded as the first and highest Thai inspired rooftop bar, you'll get a big slice of the Thai culture and hospitality up here.
  • Dont miss the Cultural Show at sunset 7:30 PM or by midnight.
  • Check our their event calendar packed with diffrent cultural shows.

Gallery

Overview

Ambiance: We were blown away by foremost the view but also the superb vibe. The rooftop bar offered a calm yet lively atmosphere, inspired by Hanuman, the monkey god from Thai lore. The highlight was watching the sunset with sweeping views of the Bangkok city scape. As the evening progressed, the view shifted to showcase the rivers and temples beautifully lit up against the night sky.

Drinks and Food: The kitchen brings the river view flavours up into the sky. How about some grilled jumbo size river prawns with Thailands most famous dish “Tom Yum Goong”. Everything up here are influenced by the Thai culture and cuisine. The drinks with fruits of Thailand extracted into balanced cocktails are a must try. Not your classic signature cocktail list.

What we think: Akara Sky Hanuman Bangkok is one of the newest additions to the Bangkok rooftop scene, and it’s definitely worth checking out. Located on the 61st floor of One City Center in Ploenchit, just across from Central Embassy, the bar offers stunning 360-degree view (almost). This is a rooftop experience like no other in Bangkok. Very genuine and rare compared to most other rooftops you can visit around here. As the second tallest rooftop bar in Bangkok, following Sky Beach, Akara Sky Hanuman offers a much more cozy and relaxed atmosphere.

Dress code: Smart casual is recommended if you want to blend in. But casual or upscale works fine as well. As long as you don't wear swimwear, tank tops or flip flops.
