What we think: What not to love about Blossom Rooftop? We loved most about it. The perfect spot for an Afterwork or just some evening cocktails. Bound to become a hot-spot for buzzing and sky-high Melbourne outings, Blossom is also available for private functions, weddings and corporate events, with stunning views and 5-star service.

What we think: We had a lot of positive vibes after our visit here. Sophisticated yet comfy, with a professional and friendly service, The Stolen Gem rooftop is a prime spot for afternoons/nights with fine cocktails and fine views. Get cozy by the fireplace with a date, or gather a group of friends and enjoy the New York-style settings and the weekend DJs.

Ambiance: Naked Upstairs (or Naked in the Sky) is the rooftop bar of Naked for Satan, which also includes a downstairs indoor restaurant. Located in Fitzroy, the 5th floor rooftop offers perhaps the best view northern Melbourne has to offer, with great vistas over the CBD skyline. In a trendy and urban setting, Naked Upstairs comes with both indoor and outdoor seating, divided in a bar and a restaurant area. Rustic but warm, with wooden details, bare brick walls and colorful steel chairs.

Drinks and Food: The rooftop bar offers an almost 20 pages long drink menu, including 'Satan's Infused Vodka' along with a large selection of wines and craft beers. On the terrace you can also enjoy a great selection of a Basque-influenced and modern Australian dishes, like Pumpkin Ravioli, Kingfish Ceviche and Beef Tartare.

What we think: We love casual rooftops. And it’s hard to find a more casual and relaxing rooftop in Melbourne than Naked in the Sky. Opening at noon, you can visit the rooftop for a long and relaxing lunch in the sun, or come later to enjoy the vibrant and buzzing atmosphere over a few cocktails with friends. Being one of the best rooftop bars Melbourne has to offer, and on a sunny day one of the most popular, it’s recommended to show up early or be prepared to wait a bit for a table on the terrace.

What we think: Our favorite things about the Rooftop at QT are the sweeping skyline view and the trendy vibe. Both the crowd and the atmosphere are very trendy and chic. With a view like this, it’s no surprise that many locals love this rooftop as well.

Ambiance: The classic King and Godfree café and deli in Carlton was closed several years for renovations, but came back in full style during 2019. And so did its rooftop, called Johnny's Green Room. Dressed in a retro-chic suit, where restored neon-signs meet marble-topped tables, the open-air terrace offers fantastic and panoramic views over both the Carlton rooftops and the Melbourne skyline.

Drinks and Food: From the 15-metre-long rooftop bar you can order everything from classic and creative house cocktails, local and imported beer on tap and easy-drinking wines, to a wide range of casual bar bites, many of them with Italian influences (especially the pizza's).

What we think: One of our favorite rooftops in Australia in 2025! And this sentence speaks for itself: Aiming to provide an atmosphere similar to a 'sophisticated rooftop party in Rome', Johnny's Green Room is a vibrant venue, with laughter and DJ beats filling the terrace. Visit for sunny drinks or late night fun, but try to be in good time during peak hours to grab a top spot at the walk-ins only rooftop.
