Expert Tips
- If you like Negroni, they do a great one up here.
- Come here during lunch/afternoon when the terrace is less crowded.
Gallery
Overview
Ambiance: Set in a stunning 17th century building in Piazza Navona, the fantastic hotel Eitch Borromini Palazzo Pamphilj comes with an equally fantastic rooftop setting. The Terrazza Borromini offers both a 4th floor rooftop restaurant and a 6th floor rooftop bar (nicknamed 'La Grande Bellezza'), where you can enjoy incredible 360-views over the city rooftops, and the famous Piazza Navona from above.
Drinks and Food: The rooftop bar serves classis cocktails and beers. We had a couple of Negronis which were very well made. The Terrazza Borromini restaurant is set alongside an art gallery, in a stylish setting where art and history come together. Here you can indulge in Mediterranean flavors inspired by the classic Roman tradition, served as both lunch and dinner.
What we think: What we loved most about this rooftop was the open air feeling and 360 views. The terrace can feel a little touristic at some times, but you forget it quickly after soaking in the view. The top floor intimate rooftop bar is open to all from lunch, but note that it’s recommended to make reservations during the evenings. Then you can settle down in one of the plush white sofas and enjoy high-quality aperitifs, small gourmet tastes and some amazing sunset views over the Eternal City.
