Ambiance: Perched on top of the new and swanky 1 Hotel Toronto, Harriet's Rooftop offers a trendy and luxurious space to take in the city from above. Toronto mixes the natural and sustainable with the posh and contemporary, creating a vibe that’s both lively and cozy. Add expansive and panoramic views over the city, and it is easy to see that this is a prime addition to the Toronto rooftop heaven.

Drinks & Food: Offering both covered and open-air bar and lush lounge spots, the rooftop serves seasonal and locally-inspired light bites and a sushi menu as dinner, as well as Sunday brunch. Complementing the food is a nice selection of wellness cocktails, crafted signature cocktails, wine and bottle service.

What we think: We love most things about this rooftop. But if we have to pick the two best parts, it would be the view and the food. The perfect spot for a rooftop dinner and party. Visit Harriet's Rooftop early evening for laidback lounge vibes, perfect for a stylish after work with bites, drinks and (hopefully) a sunset. Later on, the atmosphere gets more buzzing, with live DJs creating an energetic push.

Ambiance: Located on the 44th floor of the amazing Bisha Hotel Toronto, the rooftop bar and restaurant KŌST brings a large slice of California-vibes to the heart of downtown Toronto's Entertainment District. Kost rooftop comes with both a bright and coastal-inspired indoor lounge, and an open-air rooftop terrace. The fantastic infinity rooftop pool, is reserved for guests staying at the hotel, everyone is welcome to visit the bar and restaurant daily for breakfast, lunch, midday snacks, dinner and weekend brunch.

Drinks and Food: Inspired by the Baja Peninsula, the rooftop restaurant menu includes fresh and lively flavours from the Californian coastline, ranging from small shares of 'Tuna Tataki' and 'Avocado Pineapple Salad' to more filling options of 'Striplion' and 'Fogo Island Cod'. The rooftop bar serves everything from refreshing signature cocktails and cold beers, to an impressive selection of wine and sparkling, as well as some more healthy juices.

What we think: After our latest visit here, it quickly became one of our favorite rooftops in Canada. With a stylish and comfortable atmosphere, Kost rooftop is a great option just about anytime of the day. Come for a sunny poolside breakfast, lunch or weekend brunch, the daily happy hour from 3pm to 5pm, or some fine yet casual dining and drinking at night. Just remember that reservations are recommended.

Ambiance: The superb Hotel X Toronto by Library Hotel Collection brings a large slice of luxury vibes to the waterfront of Toronto, and it does so all the way up to the top. The three-level rooftop venue called Valerie offers unobstructed and panoramic views of Toronto's skyline and Lake Ontario are just the same. Highly elegant, Valerie rooftop is divided into several spaces, mixing indoor lounges with an outdoor terrace, as well as several different experiences.

Drinks and Food: The 27th floor is called Live Lounge, where curated cocktails, Japanese inspired snacks and the chef’s selection of maki is combined with live music every weekend. One floor above you find the Sushi Bar, a full service dinner destination for crafted Japanese cuisine.

What we think: We’d suggest coming here for a late dinner and rooftop party. While the two 'lower' levels offer great views through the panoramic windows, it is the top and 29th floor Rooftop that really dazzles you with its 360° views. Among high-end patio furniture and lush greenery, here you can enjoy crafted cocktails, bottle service, a snack menu and a buzzing atmosphere.

Ambiance: Located above the Rock ‘n’ Horse Saloon, the spacious and wooden decked, The Porch offers open-air views over downtown Toronto, with the CN Tower only yards away. While the Porch rooftop bar is in its prime during the hot summer months, they also arrange some exciting winter specials, like 'Porchmas' and a very vibrant 'Après Ski'.

Drinks and Food: Serving modern bar-food, like 'Maple Soy Salmon Avocado BLT' and 'Jerk Chicken Burger', as well as ice-cold beer and sangria, the rooftop bar is mostly famous for its signature bucket. Think Margarita topped with a Mexican beer and watermelon.

What we think: After our latest visit here, we fell in love with the amazing atmosphere! The Porch rooftop offers a playful menu, and the setting and atmosphere is just about as vibrant. Usually filled with a fun-filled and younger crowd, this is a great spot for some after-work beers, nightly vibes or a Sunday brunch.

Dress code: TThe Porch dress code is casual. Casual dress code refers to clothing that is informal and comfortable, yet clean and professional. It’s best to go with nicer casual wear and avoid the baggier items you wear around the house.

Ambiance: 16 stories above the city, Lavelle brings a unique and day-to-night rooftop experience to the King West neighbourhood in downtown Toronto. All surrounded with amazing and unobstructed 360-degree views of the city skyline. By day, the spacious 1 500m2 rooftop terrace offers a stylish beach club vibe, with 3 rooftop pools and plenty of comfy loungers and cabanas. For a daily fee you can swim, bask in the sunshine and sip cocktails poolside or in your private cabana.

Drinks and Food: The Lavelle restaurant menu includes a large selection of contemporary Brazilian and Japanese creations by Chef Daniel Ken. From small plates and sushi to larger items, like the Wagyu "Mac" Burger. The rooftop bar and lounge offer everything from crafted signature cocktails and mocktails, to wine by the glass or in bottle, as well as table service.

What we think: There are many things to love about Lavelle Rooftop. When we visited this place recently, three things that we loved about it were: The swimming pool, the spectacular view and the vibrant atmosphere. As evening comes, the rooftop transforms into a trendy lounge and restaurant, where Toronto’s finest enjoy the best of elevated nightlife.
