What we think: The rooftop area provides the perfect backdrop for any public party or corporate event. A highlight of the rooftop is the 37-meter-long bar counter with six bar stations. You can enjoy the fantastic view from the rooftop with music played from the DJ console, which has an integrated surround sound system and 26 speakers.

The Party: This spacious terrace comes with generous and green outdoor areas, a panoramic view of Berlin along with cozy cottages offering concerts, DJ program, readings, cinema and more. Definitely an eventful place and made perfect for a rooftop party. Friendly, fun and vibrant in ambience, Klunkerkranich Rooftop is a bit hard to find, but still highly popular. So it is recommended to be here early to avoid the lines, starting at the elevator downstairs.
Ambiance: Very urban and creative in decoration, here you can have a seat on wooden benches or right in the sand. The rooftop bar offers ice cold beers and classic and refreshing cocktails, and at the 'Zum Fetten Finken' cantina you can pick up breakfast, lunch and a changing dinner menu: sometimes its pasta, sometimes its pizza.
What we think: After our visit here late 2024, we fell in love with the casual party vibe. There are no reservations possible, so when the rooftop is full they work on a 'one-out, one-in' basis. While peak season for the rooftop terrace is during summer, Klunkerkranich is usually also open during the colder months, offering everything from Christmas market and drinks inside a cozy hut called 'Hinter Den Alpen', to indoor concerts and DJ programs.

KLUNKERKRANICH ROOFTOP
The Party: On the 7th floor of the mall Schönhause Allee Arcaden, right in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, you find the highest beach rooftop bar in Berlin, called Deck 5 Sky Beach. This rooftop comes packed with an amazing beach club vibe, which makes it perfect for a summer rooftop party.
Ambience: Decorated with big slumber sofas, deck chairs, palm trees and real sand, this is truly a hidden and tropical oasis above the concrete jungle, that also comes with a fantastic view of Berlin. The Deck 5 rooftop bar serves a mix of Mediterranean dishes and BBQ, along with a wide range of refreshing and summer-inspired cocktails, homemade ice-tea, beers and coffee. All you would expect from a beach club, just instead on a roof in the middle of Berlin.
What we think: If you love beach clubs (just like we do) and vibrant beach club vibes, this is the perfect spot in Berlin. Open during the summer season (May-September), Deck 5 comes with a great atmosphere, and you can visit during daytime for sunny 'beach-side' vibes or come later to enjoy the fantastic sunset and live DJs.

The Party: Found at the urban retail and dining complex Bikini Berlin, right next to Berlin Zoo, Spreegold offers several floors of dining and drinking, including the cool rooftop cocktail bar Darwin's Lab. Really coming to life during weekends, the top DJ’s of the Berlin music scene bless Darwin's Lab with a great party atmosphere after 9pm.
Ambience: With a ground floor 'Tankstelle' serving Berliner tank beer and typical southern German dishes, and a first floor restaurant offering everything from breakfast to pasta and burger, all roads lead to the second floor rooftop bar and terrace. During sunny days, you can usually enjoy your food with majestic views over the central parts of Berlin, while nights at the rooftop belongs to Darwin's Lab. Mixing the outdoor terrace with a stylish indoor lounge, the rooftop bar serves the finest spirits and high-end cocktails, as well as plenty of champagne, wine and beer.

What we think: Come as you are, as the Monkey Bar dress code is casual. But also, come in good time to catch the best spots, as this is a very popular place that don't take reservations, and a bit of a line can be expected. But well worth it, as it is one of the very best party rooftop bars Berlin has to offer.
