We would argue that swimming with a view is one of the best things you can do. The questions is if the newly opened Sky Pool in London offers to much of a view, even for us...maybe, maybe not. It is at least impressive and a daredevil's dream.
Floating 35 meters above the Nine Elms neighbourhood in south-west London, the 25 meter long transparent pool 'hangs' between two buildings on the 10th floor, giving a unique and sky-high experience.
The first one of its kind in the world and also the largest freestanding acrylic pool structure in the world, according to Embassy Gardens, the developers behind the Sky Pool.
Constructed with 200mm thick sides and a 300mm thick bottom, the Sky Pool offers 360° views in all directions. Look out over the next-door US Embassy building or further away to River Thames, the London Eye and the Houses of Parliament. Look up towards the sky. And look down (or close your eyes) through the transparent bottom and really feel like you are flying

Ready to go for a swim? Well, not so fast, as the Sky Pool is rather exclusive. Only residents (and their guests) staying in the Embassy Gardens Legacy Buildings can take the swim from one side to the other. Apartments start at £600,000, but then you get to use the infinity pool 24/7.
While the Sky Pool is the major attraction at the Embassy Gardens terrace, there is also a rooftop bar and a rooftop garden, with an orange tree greenhouse.
If you would get a last-minute scare, but need to cross the buildings, a solid walkway will also get you between the two pool decks without swimming.

Opening in May 2021, the elevated pool was manufactured in Colorado and put through extensive strength testing, before shipping to its final home in the UK capital.
The pool structure was developed using a special technology that allows it to move in high winds, meaning it can slide while still maintaining water-tight integrity.
