Overview
Antidote at Chemist Spirits opened in 2018, but the early 1900s setting creates a much more 'been around forever' feeling. Set in a three-story building in the South Slope, the cosy indoor lounge is also complemented with an intimate rooftop terrace.
'Intimate' and 'exclusive' are words suited well for Antidote, as only a certain number of guests are allowed at once, and seats are assigned upon entrance.
Foremost a cocktail bar, here you can enjoy interesting, creative and delicious drinks made by the skilled bartenders. From Spanish, French and American G&Ts to 'Chemist Cocktails', all served in the unique and appropriate glass. You can also go for a Flight Board and try several different samplings.
Complementing the cocktails is a curated wine list and crafted beers, and while maybe not the place for a full dinner, also some bar snacks and sweets.
The charming rooftop terrace at Antidote comes with both fire-pits and fine views of the South Slope.
With a friendly, fun, old-school charming and speak-easy vibe, Antidote at Chemist Spirits is a great spot for fantastic cocktails in a nice atmosphere. Preferably on the rooftop, in the sun or by the fire-pit.
Note that Antidote does not take reservations, and work on a first come first serve only basis.
