It is called The Rooftop Bar, and it most definitely is a rooftop bar, located on top of the newly re-opened boutique Hotel Danmark. Right in the heart of the city, next to famous landmarks like the National Museum, City Hall and Tivoli, the rooftop offers sweeping 360-degree views of Copenhagen and beyond.

Perched on the 7th floor, The Rooftop Bar is decorated in classic Scandinavian minimalistict design, with light wooden deck and furniture, both benches and loungers, and with a very open and airy feel.

And the open feel is also open for everyone, hotel guest or not. This is a perfect place to enjoy a tasty cocktail or a glass of beer / wine, soak in the relaxed lounge vibe and gaze over the city. On Wednesdays and Saturdays you can even catch the fireworks from the Tivoli Gardens.

During summer, every Friday night is also ‘Up Sessions on The Rooftop’, with live DJs creating that extra good feel for the weekend. The rooftop only holds up to 50 persons, so on a sunny day you should be in time to catch a good spot.

Tip: Given location (plus rooftop bar and service), the 4-star Hotel Danmark is a great choice for a couple of nights in Copenhagen.
