Raising the bar of the rooftop scene in Gothenburg is TaKeT (the Roof in English), found up on the 7th floor of Comfort Hotel Gothenburg. First opened in 2016, this ever evolving venue has turned into one of the true hot-spots in the city.

Located right by the water, and the views you get over the river Göta Älv are absolutely amazing. Watching all the boats go by and the cranes and dockyards telling stories about old time Gothenburg can keep you busy for hours.

But TaKeT rooftop bar offers so much more than just grand views. Fun-filled and vibrant, the schedule is packed with different events, from DJ sessions and day-parties, to exhibitions, rooftop yoga or brewery takeovers. And events or not, the atmosphere is always friendly and unpretentious, with a cool vibe but inviting to all. There is good reason why TaKeT has benn awarded the best party rooftop in the world 4 years in a row.

The terrace is equipped with quite a lot of seating options, both classic bar stools and tables, as well as more chill lounge sofas. You can also just hang out at the urban bar. The rooftop is open and airy duirng the sunny days, but also has a retractable roof, if the weather should turn to the worse.

The rooftop bar offers a nice selection of well made cocktails, wines, beer on tap / bottle, as well as bottle service. In short: all you can wish for to enjoy elevated drinks with a view. And while there are occasional BBQs at the rooftop, the hungry ones are recommended to head down to the ground floor sister restaurant called OGBG Bar & Restaurant.
