Overview
Lush rooftop garden filled with history.
The Ambos Mundos Rooftop Bar is perched on top of the Hotel Ambos Mundos, located in a beautiful building from the 1920s, right in the heart of Old Havana. Both green and classic, the rooftop terrace comes with great views over the old city and the historic harbor.
The Hotel Ambos Mundos was frequented by Ernest Hemingway a lot during the 1930s, and we can only guess he also used to head up to the rooftop garden quite often to enjoy the views. While the views are much the same, and the spacious terrace do have a classic vibe, the rooftop bar and restaurant offers a menu that feels a bit more updated.
Have a seat by regular dining tables or in one of the lounge sofas, either open-air or under the vine-bedecked canopy.
From the bar you can enjoy great and refreshing Mojitos or Piña Coladas, while the reastaurant (called Plaza de Armas) serves a nice range of dishes with a local feel, like fresh Caribbean lobster or a classic Cuban sandwich.
