Overview
Stylish summer rooftop garden, with unrivalled views of the city’s iconic Three Graces.
Goodness Gracious is the rooftop bar and rooftop garden of the OH ME OH MY café, located in the West Africa House on Water Street. While the indoor café and tea house is open year round during weekdays, the fantastic rooftop garden is seasonal and in full swing from April to September.
Set on the 8th floor, the open-air terrace offers some of the best views Liverpool has to offer. Close ups of the Royal Liver Building is complemented with panoramics over the skyline and River Mersey.
Goodness Gracious is a real sun trap, and on a fine day, this is pretty much the place to be in Liverpool. But note that at least decent weather is needed, since the rooftop bar is all outdoors. Bad weather, and the rooftop will be closed.
Living up to its garden epitet, the wooden decked terrace comes with lots of greenery and colorful details. Complemented with some chill out music, this is really a rooftop oasis in the heart of the city.
From the rooftop bar you can mainly order refreshing cocktails and other drinks, but from Wednesday to Friday there is also 'Afternoon Tea in the Sky' available from 12pm to 2.30pm.
Goodness Gracious is called a "secret space", but with ever growing popularity since opening in 2015, it is maybe not a huge secret anymore. Reservations are recommended for Afternoon Tea, but for drinks the rooftop works on a walk-in basis, and you should aim to be in good time, especially during a sunny weekend.
With opening hours during the day / early evening, Goodness Gracious is a venue tailor made to enjoy the sun, good company, nice drinks and a great, relaxed atmosphere. Oh, and amazing views over Liverpool.
