Overview
Three-storey rooftop wine bar with amazing 360-degree views.
Kartel rooftop bar, or Kartel Wine Bar, is somewhat a hidden gem among the Shanghai rooftop bars, found between the Former French Concession and Jing’an Temple in the heart of the city.
Set 5 floors up, the spacious rooftop terraces is not sky-high, but it still offers some amazing 360-degree views over the neighborhood and the Jingan skyline.
Not only rooftop terrace, Kartel holds three floors of the building, also including a multi-cultured restaurant and a private lounge space.
Here you can enjoy a great selection of wines, also served as wine-inspired cocktails, sangria and of course sparkling. But there is also classic cocktails, beer on tap and tasty dishes paired perfectly with the drinks.
The Kartel rooftop bar is a fantastic venue for al-fresco sunset cocktails with a view. Then you can also enjoy the 6-8pm happy hour, when the otherwise very human prices are even better.
Note that, even though the Kartel rooftop is spacious, it can also get pretty crowded. For weekend night visits, reservations are highly recommended.
