Overview
‘Just a bar, the way a bar is meant to be'. Plus rooftop views.
The Pilot Toronto is (as the name might give away) an aviation-themed bar, located in the Yorkville area. Here you find a ground floor Stealth Lounge, and up top, the elevated Flight Deck, which is one of the more popular Toronto rooftop terrace.
Established in in 1944, The Pilot is very much a Toronto staple. Quite simple in decoration, with regular dining tables, the terrace offers a cool view of the surrounding rooftops, along with its own bar and a very good and festive atmosphere.
While the ground floor at The Pilot is a place for catching live sports, weekly jazz and trivia nights, the rooftop is more for socializing in the sun while enjoyng something from the classic pub menu, ranging from the 'Pilot Chili' to choices from 20 draft lines.
The Pilot rooftop terrace is open year-round, thanks to retractable awnings and heaters keeping everybody warm. So come for cosy winter sessions or to enjoy a sunny day. On the latter it is advisable to be in good time, as the terrace can fill up rather quickly.
