Ateneo Sky Bar Restaurant

Elevated restaurant, bar and event venue in the heart of Valencia.

The Ateneo Sky Bar Restaurant is perched on top of the Ateneo Mercantil de Valencia-building, right on Plaza del Ayuntamiento in the old town. From the terrace you get antastic views of of the City Hall and main Plaza, and there aren’t many better places in the city to watch the great architecture of the beautiful buildings located in the central parts of Valencia.

Ateneo works both as a rooftop bar, restaurant, event venue and as a viewing point (also called Ateneo Viewpoint). There is a charge to go up, but if you buy something from the bar, part of the entrance fee will be deducted from the bill.

And while here, of course you should get something from the rooftop bar. They offer well-crafted cocktails, along with the (obvious) sangria and ice-cold beer. There is also a nice selection of tapas for the hungry ones.

The stylish restaurant-part of Ateneo is mainly indoor (but it does come with a lovely balcony), and for dinner, reservations are highly recommended. The upstairs Sky Bar is first-come, first-served and decorated in a modern lounge style, partly covered and partly open-air.

With a relaxing vibe and friendly service, the Ateneo Sky Bar is a great Valencia rooftop bar for tasty and cool cocktails with views, especially fantastic right around sunset.

Note: The adress to the Ateneo Mercantil de Valencia-building is Plaza del Ayuntamiento, 18, but entrance to the rooftop bar is around the back, via Moratín Street, 12.
