Conveniently located, just two blocks from the U Street Metro Station, Whitlow’s DC is a family-owned bar & restaurant, inviting to three floors of fun.

With a rich history, starting already back in 1946, Whitlow’s has moved several times, and has only been at its current location at 901 U St NW since 2023, taking over the venue from Brixton.

Here you find a first floor neighborhood bar and restaurant, and a second floor perfect for sports viewing parties, private events, and live music. The cherry on top is however the expansive rooftop “Beach Bar”, with amazing views of the bustling U Street corridor.

Filled with bright colors and a laid-back vibe, here you are transported away from the DC buzz, to the beach or a sunny island bar. Perfect to sip frozen drinks, draft cocktails and fresh brews, or munch on something from the approachable pub menu.

Always a great spot for sunny and relaxing drinks, Whitlow’s DC also offers weekly specials, weekend brunch and DJs, and plenty of entertainment.
