Overview
Several settings, above the Magnificent Mile in downtown Chicago.
NoMI is a chic and picturesque restaurant and rooftop bar located on the 7th floor of the luxury five-star Park Hyatt Chicago, right along the Magnificent Mile in downtown Chicago.
Up at NoMI you find three different approaches: NoMI Kitchen, an indoor dining space with views of Lake Michigan and Water Tower; NoMI Lounge, a sprawling bar with a spotlight on local art and a renowned beverage program; and NoMI Garden, the restaurant's open-air rooftop terrace.
While the indoor portion of the restaurant and lounge is open year round, the best season is of course summer, when NoMI Garden is open, offering a bright and stylish setting with herb gardens, blooming flowers and cool views amidst all the skyscrapers.
The rooftop bar and garden has its own menu, offering modern American cuisine rooted in French techniques, along with sushi and some very tasty desserts. To go with the food there are both artistic and tasty hand-crafted cocktails along with an exciting selection of beers.
Besides great food and drinks, the top feature of NoMI Garden is probably the weekend brunch, named one of the best Chicago brunches at several occasions.
NoMI might not offer the very best views of all the Chicago rooftop bars, but with a great and relaxed lounge atmosphere, trendy setting and friendly service, it is most definitely worth a visit.
