Overview
Rooftop bar and restaurant with two panoramic views, perched on top of l'Auberge du Vieux-Port.
Terrasse sur L’Auberge is located right by the Old Port of Montreal, and it's probably the best rooftop bar Montreal has to offer when it comes to grand, historical and diverse views. Up here you get lovely sights of the Old Port and St. Lawrence River in one direction, and St. Paul Street in the other.
Perched on top of the superb Auberge du Vieux Port, the terrace is equipped with classic bistro style tables and chairs, and apart from the views, the rooftop bar is most famous for its great selection of Sangria. Served in both glass and pitchers, you can choose from red, white, melon or bubbly Sangria.
There is also a nice selection of cocktails, and of course you can order both wine and bubbles without the mix of fruits and soda. The food options ranges from dishes perfect to share, like a seafood platter, to summer classics brought up to date.
The ambience and service at Terrasse sur L’Auberge is usually great, with a nice mix of people enjoying the open-air breeze and fantastic views. Quite often there are also live DJs filling the terrace with music.
Open daily during the warmer months, this is a perfect spot to catch a sunset, the beautiful lighting of Jacques-Cartier Bridge or in July-August, the International Fireworks Competition. Just note that Terrasse sur L’Auberge is not huge and works on a first-come, first-served basis, so be in good time to catch a table.
